Mosey over to the blog and see what I'm doing for the Party.. Be Sure and visit the other gals in the Party too..For this Fall Round up, we want a smaller atmosphere...slow the pace down a bit..but still learn some new techniques and meet some new folks, have a get away day and just plain have some fun.

Joanna Lewis...she's going to be teaching the Crown class. This gal, let me tell you..she's one heck of a crown maker..lol..She hosted the Crown Swap at the June Paper Cowgirl. It was amazing what she had for her swap partner..and the other gals swapping were awesome too..But Joanna had that special touch and that is the reason we asked her to be in the Round up.
Chantal Johnson, She's another lady with a special touch..she made us look twice while trying to choose teachers for June. Her handy work on fabric is amazing and we had to ask her to be here for the Round up, she is willing to share some awesome ideas and workmanship in the Fabric Cuff Class...
Sandra Feazel..this gal just oozes ideas..she's soo full of them..Love her style and her bees wax is such fun. She's taking a whole new spin on it..you'll be amazed at what she came up with for us. Cute and Classy is what I call this class. You'll love it!
One day, just a get-away with girlfriend and like minded gals..that's what we want this day to be. A reasonable price too boot..where else can you get 3 THREE classes at this low of a price? And lunch too??? Tell me~
This is what people are saying:
I have really loved participating in the first two Paper Cowgirl Retreats. The classes challenged me to try new techniques and to stretch my talents and skills into different directions. I have used tools and materials I would never have attempted if it had not been for the encouragement and patience of the artist-instructors. LaVerne
Paper Cowgirl??? For two years in a row Tina and Cindy (the head cowgirls) plan incredible classes, amazing projects, and find the most talented instructors. I loved having pretty supplies all set up ready to go, learning a new technique and being able to finish a project in one day. We're so fortunate to have an art retreat of this quality in the South. To top it all off Tina and Cindy make sure there's a little time for shopping and the yummiest lunches around then throw in some cupcakes. The only problem was that it was just once a year! Well they fixed that...there's a fabulous one day retreat coming up - wax paintings, wristlets and crowns OH MY! Can't wait. Nancy
My many thanks go out to you both and to all the other teachers involved in this past June’s Paper Cowgirl retreat in Waxahachie, Texas. I merely stumbled upon the PC site by a whim and I was delighted to find out about the retreat. I convinced my dear friend to join me in this adventure and I not only had a blast, but she did as well. The instructors were great and the class selections were awesome. It was so nice to meet so many artists in so many walks of life and just have a great time together….not to mention the cupcakes…that didn’t hurt the situation either!! The meet and greet night, the vendor’s night, and our special evening out antiquing in downtown Waxahachie were definitely icing on the cupcake. I’m definitely planning on attending next year’s event.LiselSo Go to the BLOG and click on the cowgirl on the right hand side bar, she'll take you to the post of classes and the pay pal button..We still have a few spots open!
We'd love you to be a part of this tradition here in the Metroplex that we are starting! See you soon!!

Have a great weekend!

Boats were made and sails set..the the big send off..

Boats forgotten, mud more fun for the moment..then off to clean up..I'm sure we'll have bigger and better boat races in the months to come. We received almost 5 inches of rain last week, so the tank is full to the top for now! We are most thankful for that...
Paper Cowgirl is riding right along...we are going to close registration on May 18th. So if your thinking about joining us for the fun, don't wait too much longer!!
Have a great week!
I have a give away planned this week, so keep in touch!
later~ t
Glad you could join our Trail Ride! All us Paper Cowgirls are saddin' up and headin' out..we want you to come along~
A very Cowgirl-licous 2x2 soldered charm, using a vintage photo off road map of Wyoming! I found the map in an antique store in Kansas..I've added a loopy hanger so you can just loop it over your fav-O-rite chunky necklace or Barbara Bush super big pearls...
We all plan to draw for our prizes on April 10...
We still have spots open for Paper Cowgirl Retreat in June, but..... The Spun Crepe Hearts class has only ONE seat left...

The kit will include everything to make this , various sizes of images, vintage paper and other goodies you can use to make it your own... You will not have to cut the glass, I'll have that already done for you! A little here, a little there..stuff it in a sack, grab this, grab that...that's what I've been up to this last couple of days..
Going to Waxahachie this weekend to teach at the Crafty Scrapper. Teach a microscope slide soldered charm class. We are going to do similar to this:

I have images of pin up cowgirls, glamorous ladies and some vintage corset ads, and even some of my vintage images for the students to choose from...I've made up some cool little class packets, gathered supplies and solder irons..so hopefully we'll have a fun 3 hours on Saturday!
Do you remember my Paper Mojo blog?
Well, that name didn't set well with a paper company by the same name, so, I had to change my blog name since I was the 'little guy'...That blog I had over 150 entrys on, this one is getting close to 200! I see that and it amazes me..I'm not one to write in a journal or diary, but I don't seem to mind writing my thoughts where everyone and GOD can see it...I wonder why that is?
Paper Cowgirl sign ups are going strong! We have one class close to being sold out!! We are humbled and amazed at the response! Thank you all for choosing to come to our gathering of artists! What are the rest of you waiting on????come join our fun, Vendor night is a hoot...
Happy Tuesday!

They are on the larger end of things, about 5 inches to the tip of the roof..would be a CHUNKY necklace or a great Ornament.. I will provide all the stuff but the rub ons in the class kits..
I'll have the goodies but the rub-on for this side too.. Won't this be fun?? I've had alot of fun putting it together for class..and the kits, well, I set the bar high last year. If you didn't make it, the kits were in to-go coffee cups with a cute Cowgirl image on it all with brown papers and such..my thinking cap is on, to make this one as fun~
Workin' on this Cowgirl Stuff takes up alot of your time, so excuse me if you don't see me around for a few days~
The clouds were constantly changing colors and I couldn't help but watch..then hub said you need to take a picture of this..I ran back in put down the coffee cup and grabbed the camera..snapped away..it was well worth the freezing toes on the cold cement..
Here is another little shrine necklace...I love this Star surrounded by barbed wire..I made the box part look all worn old...I think it goes well with the art inside! It will be added to Etsy soon.
This yummy goodness is brought to you from a recent shopping trip..
Vintage Seam binding, old buttons, rick rack, and buttons, and belt buckles from a shop in Ducanville, Texas..add some old pearl chain from a recent Etsy purchase from Canada and you have a well rounded plate...

The Scoob when with us on the 'down South' trip..he was a good traveler and was always willing to hang out the window when it was open..
Sunday we headed to the flea in Bowie Texas, it's called Second Monday..it was hot! Let me tell you that~

After taking these photos, I put the camera in the bag and took on some serious shopping..Didn't find any goodies to alter though..but did find some goodies for the house..We picked up a Huge Huge Tim Cox print in an amazing frame..I've seen these in the stores for over 500$..got it for waaay less..that went in our bedroom..found some old licenses plates, we are going to use them as a kick plate on the screen door..found some galvanized stars for the walls, and local honey, hot sauce and peaches. Ate an amazing Chicken Fried steak for lunch then headed home..I'll be going back there...
