Little bit in the studio

Got in the studio a bit the last couple of days, and soldered up some charms:

With Marsha, from Tumble Fish Studio...She is a wonderful artist and did this collage, she made it tiny, tiny..she made one for me too..

Then, I added a collage to the backside..This is a copy of one of my personal photos, I love to use. It is one of the first photos in my collection that started a few years ago..thanks to Ebay..

I made a couple more of this gal too:

She's another personal photo from my collection. I love the look on her face...

I find this saying very fitting with this picture. We all need a kick in the pants from time to time, don't we?

Packing up

A little here, a little there..stuff it in a sack, grab this, grab that...that's what I've been up to this last couple of days..

Going to Waxahachie this weekend to teach at the Crafty Scrapper. Teach a microscope slide soldered charm class. We are going to do similar to this:

I have images of pin up cowgirls, glamorous ladies and some vintage corset ads, and even some of my vintage images for the students to choose from...I've made up some cool little class packets, gathered supplies and solder irons..so hopefully we'll have a fun 3 hours on Saturday!

Do you remember my Paper Mojo blog?

Well, that name didn't set well with a paper company by the same name, so, I had to change my blog name since I was the 'little guy'...That blog I had over 150 entrys on, this one is getting close to 200! I see that and it amazes me..I'm not one to write in a journal or diary, but I don't seem to mind writing my thoughts where everyone and GOD can see it...I wonder why that is?

Paper Cowgirl sign ups are going strong! We have one class close to being sold out!! We are humbled and amazed at the response! Thank you all for choosing to come to our gathering of artists! What are the rest of you waiting on????come join our fun, Vendor night is a hoot...

Paper Cowgirl Sign ups have begun!

It's off to a good start, despite some glitches and a few mis- spellings..lol..I'm not a speller and you know what?? Spell check don't catch them all...and when you ain't a good speller, you think it's all ok, you've used your spell check~ until some smartypants points out your boo-boos..oh well, poop happens.. and the more you stomp on it the worse it stinks..

Really, We are having a good turn out. Class space is limited and we do have 2 classes filling fast! So if you are THINKING about it, better decide soon..for that class maybe full sooner than you think.

Saturday, I'm trippin' down to the Crafty Scrapper for my first of 2 classes, this month! We are making microscope slide charms. Getting the soldering basics and what nots...so come see us if your near and want to learn somethin' new! We'd be glad to have ya..Just give Sherri a hollar there at TCS . Speaking of solder, my glass houses for my swap went out today!! Yea! I have received one so far, I'll have to show you one day..it's wonderful, I mean, Sally Jean worthy wonderful...

Out in the Boonies

I was invited by Hub to go to work with him this afternoon..He works out in the Boonies.. if you don't know where the boonies are, then I'll show you what you might see while in the boonies...




An old Jeep at a deer hunters 'camp' and I say camp loooosly..for it was a RATTY travel trailer with alot of liquor bottles lined up on the cabinet top, when I peeked inside..sounds like a getaway from the spouses to me..

I love the logo on the side of the trailer though..

See? Guy Haven..ripped, shredded curtins and all:

Then we were at a place that had this cool old windmill and barn..

What's freaky..the windmill was perfectly still when we drove up..hub was doing his corrosion stuff and I wondered over to take a snap of this. As I walked closer, it was like a switch came on and it just started spinning...very strange...then as we drove off, get this! it STOPPED..hub said it did that last time he was there..he said it's haunted...
