My personal Challenge

I think last week, I told ya'll how I was enamoured with Michelle Caplan's work in the latest Somerset Studio...

Well...here's my version:

I gave it to hub for his birthday last Sunday~ It's 5x7..I really made like 4 versions of it, before I got one I liked..he was impressed...but, then said the red lettering made me look like I had 'kool-aid lips'...oh, well..I tried..

No, I'm really happy with it and want to do more..right now, I'm channelling Sally Jean. I purchased a glass grinder and have been using it on various shapes of glass, the latest being a Gothic arch!! Stay tuned for that one..

Date night!

We went out the other night on a date! I even got him to take a picture of us all 'cleaned up' I got to put on make-up! yea..no need for it, if you don't go anywhere...

We went out to see these guys, The Three Redneck Tenors , they were a hoot!! If you get a chance to see them, it's well worth it! Lots of fun and even the kids can go. Go Here to listen to some of thier stuff. They have magnificent voices and the comic stuff was great!

Out in the Boonies

I was invited by Hub to go to work with him this afternoon..He works out in the Boonies.. if you don't know where the boonies are, then I'll show you what you might see while in the boonies...




An old Jeep at a deer hunters 'camp' and I say camp loooosly..for it was a RATTY travel trailer with alot of liquor bottles lined up on the cabinet top, when I peeked inside..sounds like a getaway from the spouses to me..

I love the logo on the side of the trailer though..

See? Guy Haven..ripped, shredded curtins and all:

Then we were at a place that had this cool old windmill and barn..

What's freaky..the windmill was perfectly still when we drove up..hub was doing his corrosion stuff and I wondered over to take a snap of this. As I walked closer, it was like a switch came on and it just started spinning...very strange...then as we drove off, get this! it STOPPED..hub said it did that last time he was there..he said it's haunted...

So hoped you enjoyed your peek in the boonies..

Oh, have to share with you! My first soldering class at the Crafty Scrapper in Waxahachie is almost full and we've scheduled another one for March 21st!! Thanks so much for your support!

Bored at the Carwash

What do you do when your hub decides to wash his truck and that's not what you had in mind??? Your a captive in your own vehicle...you dig around in his console and find his camera, so you have to entertain yourself;

This time I decided not to sing along with the radio...

Mary, Mary, How does your garden grow?

Frist off, I want you to know this is Hub's endevor...I'm just eating and moral support here...

Here's Hub putting up the fence to keep Peter Cottontail out...Peter Cottentail has been seen at random times. Scooby believes he lives under the travel trailer and has had a close encounter with him...Peter Cottontail helped himself to a Zuch, so the big guns came out and the fence came up...He's got onions, radishes, Cukes, Zuchs, Orka, corn, green beans, crookneck and cantalope in the garden. In pots are: tomatoes, peppers, basil, strawberries,lettuces...Just this week the squash has started comming off...so it's been a dinner feature several times..off to find some new receipes for that stuff...
