Happy Monday!!

Here's what's on the work table:
ideas are flowing with this paint fan I had leftover when they changed the names and colors at a paint company..

My bag of old papers was calling my name, and I wanted to use them in a cool way..

I was feeling the need to be inspired , so I hopped over to Tim Holtz site and viewed a few of his demo videos for some ideas..I just love that wings and heart thing he's always doing..so I knew these old papers would look very cool..

Then I pulled out the grunge board I've had for ages and ran some of it thru my cutter and made some hearts..one is just plain chipboard the other is the GB...

I'm not too impressed with TH's line of crackle paints..I don't seem to get big cracks, I've applied it thick and thin and get the same small crazing..and it leaves the brush strokes, which sometimes is a good thing..but I really don't always want them to show..
Now all this mess is waiting for me to do something with it...I'll be sure to show you the finished project!
The solder class went well over at The Craft Scrapper this past Saturday! I was too busy to take photos..so maybe Carolyn will have hers posted on TCS blog. Thanks again to all those who attended and for TCS for having me there! We scheduled more classes!!
Paper Cowgirl is filling up nicely and we are having alot of questions and such! Cindy and I are looking forward to meeting all the new gals and seeing the returning Cowgirls from last year!!
Happy Monday!

Quick and easy

Last year my fren posted some similar on her blog about this time of year..This year, I decided to whip some up and add to packages and hang in those bare spots that appear in the tree after you've looked at it awhile.

Just using cardstock I cut my wing pattern to my liking, I did several and several styles...then traced it onto the papers of choice, old hymn book pages..then roughly cut around them. Using a glue stick, then mounted that onto more cardstock. Let dry, then cut it all out...the cardstock gives it some weight.

Using a large print stamp, I stamped my words onto the wings, running them off of the edges, for I like that look...with a glaze pen I added swirls and twirls around some of the letters..Inked the edges with soft colors... Now's the fun~ GLITTER...I just used cheepy cheep clear glitter on this, glue sticked the whole thing good then glittered away...let it all dry out good then took and rubbed my had over to get that loose stuff off.. Punched a hole(s) threaded seambinding for hanging and that's It~
Thanks for the etsy orders this week, I hope they have arrived and you enjoy them!!
Have a great weekend~ Christmas is getting near...We have girls at our house now, and things are going to be fun!!

Wednesday! Already??!!

Our Chirstmas shopping is finished !!! yea!!! I'm proud to say that none of it went on a charge card! Now to sit back and just enjoy the next few days..

Last night Hub was in the shop working on the DD's table. I wanted to do some soldering, so I came up with these two charms:

I love, this image of the vintage kids, they were in cowboy/cowgirl costumes and I had printed it off a while back and it's just been taking up room on the table..so thought I'd use it..as I was working on it this came in mind for the backside:
You know, that can relate to a hubby, or friend or brother.. I just thought it fit..
Then this little bit of goodness emerged:

This one is a fat chunky one. The wing is actually a charm, I took the jumpring off of. Placed it on velvet ribbon and it just jumps out at ya~

The back of this one is another print that's been sitting on the table..I printed off various sizes of this and love how this tiny one turned out..this charm is only 1 1/2 X 1 inch, so that is why it's so chunky..I've listed both on my Etsy shop.
Thank you all for your comments this year and for your prayers and understanding and friendships! Hugs to you all!
Merry Christmas to you!!

Feelin' like somepin's done

Slowly I've been adding things to Etsy..I closed up shop back in March there...after much prayer, I opened it back up..

Some of these things are going to be added:

This Fun Time little shrine needed a face lift, so it got a new pieced together necklace...

This little ornie was fun to do:
Love those Art Chix images..I need to get some more..she has such fun things..And the vintage anagrams spell out the JOY, I have to make sure and use them more...what good are they doing me other than looking pretty in jars??
This one I'm freaking excited about:

Awesome?? or what?? German Scrap, Anagarms and a flying bird...it's fairly large too..this one may have to go to the bead store with me to find somepin' special for it..what do you think of it?
Here is a group shot of some of the finished solder pieces..Cindy~ yours is peeking out from the top~

Ya'll have a good Wednesday~

Fruits of my labor

Didn't finish..it got to a point I was not making it look as nice as I wanted. So, it's time to stop..but I did get in some goodies from Ebay..I got 2 patina solutions! Used the black one today and hope to try the copper on some tomorrow~

Any one need some time in a bottle?? The above are vintage watchmaker part vials.. They have tiny hands in them...they are for sale if you are interested..they are about an inch long....

This one is a micro scope slide with an Art Chix image...

This is another little shrine..I call is Motorcycle heart..I'm keeping this one, I love how it worked out..even used wire for the toggles and made them myself..After reading this book over and over...

This one is nice with a clear background..I think he'll end up on some one's Christmas Package...

And here is my contribution to a church auction:

Here is a close up..I used a crown charm and on the back is : King of Kings..used an old key on the chain part and wrapped wire..I'm sooo liking this wrapped wire stuff...I hope this does well for them at the auction..we'll miss it..it's Grand #2's birthday this weekend..we'll be doing that at her house..

I'm hoping to do more soldering today...I'll show you what I finish up tomorrow!

Hope your day is good~
