The Great Onion Harvest...

...Charlie Brown. That is what's going on at our house right now..

Hub planted rows and rows of Onions and now they are needing to be pulled..a big wind came thru a few weeks ago and knocked all the tops over and they have stopped growning..
So my part in all this is to take off the tops and roots and put them in the panty hose to store them. We did this last year and had enough onions until January this year!..Onions, either you love'em or you don't~ As you can tell, we love'em
We put this Martin house up a couple of weeks ago too..In hopes of having visitors. They eat more than their weight in mosquitoes...But it may take up till next year for them to really settle in..

This is round 2 of the Killdee nest in the driveway..
Something ate her last one, and we thought it ate her too..but maybe not~ Been watching this over the last week, first one egg, then in a few days and other, and so on until there are now 4...
Have a great Monday!

Spring has sprung here on the prairie.

Just a quick note today..I'm painting cabinets in freaking huge shop...

I did see a scissor tail, a robin and swallows all in the last 2 days! Spring has arrived here on 77 Ranch Road!! But no one told the wind to quit....it's quite blustery here, glad I'm working inside.

Don't forget to sign up for the give-O-way on yesterday's post!! Plus check out the other Cowgirls on the trail ride!!

Happy Wednesday!

cup cakes, sparks and trucks..

Salted Caramel Cupcakes!! eeeewww..they were wonderful and we could have ate them all at once but I doled them out for a few nights as dessert...super yummy..I just googled for the recipe and this one had a butter cream icing..deeelish..

Give me some ideas..this necklace seems lacking to me..Can you see how big it is? I think it needs a bigger chain/beads something..I'm at a loss..should it not even be a necklace?? Tell me what you think..

Hub throwing sparks as he cuts the tubing for out new table..he's now got the frame welded up and we found some stars and such for him to weld around the apron area of the frame..we are going to have the top ready to sand this week..found some red cedar planks on our way to Austin a couple of weeks ago at a wood place..

This is what's in my drive way at the moment..not everyone has hole drilling trucks in their drive..All our Oil Field guys are worried about jobs with this new President..it's not looking for for our lively hood out here in the oil field..tough times are coming..we can feel it in the air..When our Government allows China to drill in our waters and not our own companies our government people are making huge mistakes...pray for this country and our leaders...we are..
Thanks for the prayers for our son..please continue..

Feelin' like somepin's done

Slowly I've been adding things to Etsy..I closed up shop back in March there...after much prayer, I opened it back up..

Some of these things are going to be added:

This Fun Time little shrine needed a face lift, so it got a new pieced together necklace...

This little ornie was fun to do:
Love those Art Chix images..I need to get some more..she has such fun things..And the vintage anagrams spell out the JOY, I have to make sure and use them more...what good are they doing me other than looking pretty in jars??
This one I'm freaking excited about:

Awesome?? or what?? German Scrap, Anagarms and a flying bird...it's fairly large too..this one may have to go to the bead store with me to find somepin' special for it..what do you think of it?
Here is a group shot of some of the finished solder pieces..Cindy~ yours is peeking out from the top~

Ya'll have a good Wednesday~

Will wonders every cease?

For the last couple of days, we've had a barn swallow trapped in the shop. The poor thing would just fly in circles no matter how wide open we'd have the overhead doors...Then yesterday afternoon, when we came back from playing on the new toy (story is below) I opened the door as big as I could, one almost all the way open the other I couldn't get as open..

The poor fellow is flying around and around chirping...well, here comes in another bird.. I thought "great, now 2 of them in here to worry about", Well the second bird is flying behind the first one, chirping at it and The Second bird gets the first bird to follow it and out the open door they go!

Yea!!! His family had been hanging out on the north end of the shop, chirping away at him while he was in..there was no way we could reach him, it's over 16 feet at the peak...so we just hoped he could get himself out... Sometimes they get in, and then find their way out in a few hours, but we've not had one in there for over a day...or they fly straight thru when both big doors are up..I was glad this one got out, they are too pretty and eat pesky bugs...

I received a couple of emails the other day on the Somerset Gallery Article, about the Glass Fairy houses..Well, Jamie sent me a photo of hers! Is it not the cutest thing?

Jamie doesn't have a blog yet, but said she hopes to join the blogging world soon! She has some cool stuff!!

Here's the new Toy..Big Daddy picked it up Friday. It's a Polaris RZR, or Razor...it's a side by side 4 wheeler...we have a regular 4 wheeler and now this... You know the saying about Boys and their toys?! it's so true at this house!

Needless to say, we've been out playing in this and checking it out. We live about 20 minutes from the Red River, and it's a perfect place to run this stuff, sandy and dunes, almost like the beach..I see a Colorado trip in our future to really give this a run...

Paper Cowgirl is coming along...we have the payment info now, so if you want to send in your money for your spot check out the blog!

Have a super Monday!
