Out in the Boonies

I was invited by Hub to go to work with him this afternoon..He works out in the Boonies.. if you don't know where the boonies are, then I'll show you what you might see while in the boonies...

An old Jeep at a deer hunters 'camp' and I say camp loooosly..for it was a RATTY travel trailer with alot of liquor bottles lined up on the cabinet top, when I peeked inside..sounds like a getaway from the spouses to me..

I love the logo on the side of the trailer though..

See? Guy Haven..ripped, shredded curtins and all:

Then we were at a place that had this cool old windmill and barn..
What's freaky..the windmill was perfectly still when we drove up..hub was doing his corrosion stuff and I wondered over to take a snap of this. As I walked closer, it was like a switch came on and it just started spinning...very strange...then as we drove off, get this! it STOPPED..hub said it did that last time he was there..he said it's haunted...
So hoped you enjoyed your peek in the boonies..
Oh, have to share with you! My first soldering class at the Crafty Scrapper in Waxahachie is almost full and we've scheduled another one for March 21st!! Thanks so much for your support!

Pictures of the Baby

Yep, that's "BABY" ....what did you think I was talking about??

span>It was sooo nice out that I decided she needed a long over due detail washing and shining...

If you are a non-motorcycle person, I have to tell you, washing a motorcycle is not like washing a car..there are lots of nooks and crannies, that dirt, bug guts and grime get into. (yes, I said bug guts..you ought to have one smack you in the hand at 70 miles an hour!) You have to take a toothbrush to places and do alot of back and forth..for you think you have something clean, then you rinse it off and see what you missed, and start all over..

Needless to say, it's labor intensive. We fight over the little rolling stool hubby has in the shop. We did have two, just for that reason, but something happened to the other one.
I love the details on Harley Davidson's..the emblem is EVERYWHERE on their parts and you see it in the smallest of places. Like that headlight, it's on the inside too and the little amber lights it's on the lenses of them.

This is my ride angel. Hub bought it for me at a bike show we attended a few years ago..She helps keep me safe along with:

PAN>My Queen BEE...Hub says I have the bumble bee syndrom...Have you heard of that? The bumble bee doesn't know it's supposed to fly but it does..I do things on this bike that I'm not suposed to do and come out ok..She reminds me to keep flying along. Last year I didn't get many miles put on her, like less than 4 K..that's sad for us, the first year I had her, I put over 10K on her! We've vowed this year to do more traveling and go to more places on the bikes. I can't wait!

See ya later!

Excitment at the Shop Shack

We have concrete at the entry ways!

Those guys did a good job:
Now the shop won't stay quite so dirty from all the dust blowing under the doors..and we have a place to wash the cars and Harleys...
I've been wanting to show you the "polka dot" tree:

Doesn't it look like Polka Dots hanging from it??

Did the black and white just for fun...
Have a great day!

My daily walk

I've been trying to walk everyday if the weather is ok..
We got out and walked, it was chilly and a bit windy but we made it..and added extra, since I was toting the camera..Scooby is my walking Buddie..he loves to sniff out things and goes bounding into the weeds until he disappears..

This day as we walked I was whining to myself how I never find any heart shaped rocks..you know, like you see on other blogs..
I find stuff like this:

It was a big honking piece of broken glass, I put it in my pocket for future project..then I hadn't walked another 5 minutes and spied this one:

All this time..and there was one, I left it where it was..Sage and I look for heart shapes when we are gathering cool rocks..there are always cool rocks at Nana's house..either in the road, driveway or dirt..we find them, she cleans them, and adds them to a jar we have in the shop...
Here's the great hunter, catching up to me on the last bit to the house..he doesn't let me get to far away...

Now back to Christmas Decorating...
